Joe's Garage Has Gone Hi-Tech

One of the privileges of being counted among the elderly of our time is recalling how different the world was when we were living through our teen years. Case in point:  Most guys were gearheads to some extent. We set the points, cleaned the sparkplugs, changed the head gasket, patched the inner tubes, put diluted grain alcohol in the radiator during cold winters. Anyone here know what a starter pedal is? Alas, the greatest days of Joe's greasy and noisy garage are gone. The auto mechanic business has gone high-tech, and I can't see much uder the hood but a massive cover. It's up to you new guys to take care of the new auto technology.
