What is the difference between Computer Science (CS) and
Computer Information Science (CIS)?

CS deals with the theory of computing and what can be done with computers and information systems. CIS deals with the application of computers and information systems for solving business problems.

A college curriculum for CS is packed with higher math and a lot of physical science. The curriculum for CIS includes less math and science, but a lot more business-related courses.
